Busy Day

A busy day at the Haartman's today....

Morgan's 18 month check up at 9am with only a few tears- check

flu shots - check

Lab work for Morgan (computers were down so we waited an hour) with more tears- check

Lunch - check

Preschool - check

Nap - check

Dinner - check

Now just hoping and praying Morgan's lab work comes back negative to food allergies!!!! If you remember add us to your prayers :)

Morgan did well at her appointment....I guess as well as you can expect from an 18 month old that is very aware of her surroundings and what the nurse and doctor are doing. We shed a few tears today :( All in all everything is looking great other than the doc said it's time to start weening her from her paci....that should be fun since she is super attached and was asking for her paci while he said this. Baby steps..I guess I'll start with making sure she only has it while sleeping, then take it away from her nap time and then the final step all together...I'm predicting a big fight and may have to just do it quick and painful :(

Big growth spurt since her last appointment at 16months:

Height 33" - 80% (2 inch grow in 2 months)

Weight 24lbs - 25-50% (3lbs in 2 months)

All Grown Up!!

All Grown Up!!!

The first day of school was harder for Mommy and Morgan than Conner. I was a ball of butterflies in my stomach just watching the time go by, day two went much better for me :) Morgan feel asleep on the way home which has become the regular routine...she wakes up for a minute when I transition her to her crib asks "where's Conner" and then says School...thankfully she is falling right back asleep and waking up asking for him just minutes before we have to go pick him up.

He has continued to do so well, and is so excited to go to school and be with his teachers Mrs. Hoekwater and Mrs. Chaffee. When I ask him on the way home what he did today at school he tells me "Everything"....not until later in the day do I find out what he did as he acts the day. Morgan and I have had many a circle times already sitting quietly on the floor while our teacher reads us stories....it truly is so cute. He then tells us when he taps us on the head we can go wash our hands for snack time :)

It is so amazing that my little baby is in school, I'm so thankful the transition has gone so smoothly and I am adjusting myself. I've become quite productive in 2 hours but man does it go fast!!! We are truly blessed with such wonderful children!!!!

My New School

Pictures from our parent orientation day...Conner had so much fun playing with the toys and other kids I don't think Tuesday will be hard, I'm sure he'll run right in....it will be getting him out that will be the challenge :)

Our little boy is growing up way too fast!!!! More pictures will follow of his first day..sniff sniff.

Conner with his silly smile these days...I was surprised we got a picture he wanted to go see his classroom so bad!

Daddy's day out

Daddy and Conner had some fun male bonding time this past weekend. Ryan and another friend took the boys to the Lowes Workshop on Saturday. Our friends have been taking Michael for a while and he seems to really enjoy the time with daddy and building fun things...I would have to say Conner agrees so we will for sure be going back. You get your own workshop apron and a new badge to sew on to your apron every time. It's a wonderful way to show kids how to use tools safely and even better it's free!

This past weekend they made drums and Conner has been wearing his apron everywhere and playing them none stop....next time they are making firetrucks, hopefully these don't make noise...just kidding.

My proud boy!
