Love those rolls!

If only it were this cute for adults to have these rolls :)
I just love Morgan's rolls...pretty soon she will be grown up like Conner and no more rolls to squeeze :( I'm trying to cherish these adorable moments!

Look at that belly!!

What a Blast....Boat Trip!!

One Sunday after we returned from church we had a message on our machine from our friends Phil and Beth inviting us last minute for a day on the lake. Since it was suppose to be one of the last nice days before a handful of rainy days we jumped at the chance. So we put Morgan down for a quick nap, packed a cooler and headed out on the lake for the day. It truly was a wonderful day!!!

The kids enjoyed themselves sooooo much! Since we don't get many chances to get out on a boat I wasn't sure how Morgan would do...whether she would even sit still. Conner had been on a boat a few times before and really enjoyed it. Well, no worries here Morgan did wonderful and didn't complain once on having to wear a life jacket. We anchored at a sand dune and spent the afternoon playing in the sun, sand and water. The kids slept like babies that night!
We are looking forward to more of these wonderful lazy days with our friends on their boat :)

Ryan got to be the captian for a little while....so serious :)

The kids enjoyed watching all the big boats.

The boys so excited!!!!

As predicted Morgan didn't sit still for too long....going back and forth to mommy and daddy but at least she wore her life jacket.

Morgan loving the water!!

Walking back to the boat from the dune.

The boys at the top of the dune.

Morgan on her very own mini dune :)

90 degree weather = Park date turned into Pool date

Our play date was originally planned to be at a park but the week of high 90's changed our plans, thankfully our friend Stacey invited us over for pool date!!!

I was interested to see if Conner would go into the pool....last year he wanted nothing to do with pools because he couldn't touch the bottom, he was much happier at the lake. He was a bit hesitant at first but I let him take his time and stick his feet in for a while....once he was in he actually liked it and by the time we were ready to get out he was kicking around with me only holding his life jacket from the back....a HUGE improvement from last year. Unfortunately no pics since I was in the pool. Conner also had a first and experienced a slip n slide....lots of fun! All the fun in the sun made for two very tired kids on the way home!!!

Kendal, Conner and Kennidee having a quick lunch before all the fun.

Kendal showing them how it's done.

Morgan and Landon hanging out in the sandbox....Morgan wishing she was on the slip n slide :)

Like Brother, Like Sister

I'm sure the person behind me thought I was crazy taking these pictures in the car....at least I waited until a red light :)

Father's Day Weekend

First off Happy Father's Day to my wonderful Husband...Your the Best Father!!! We love you so much!!! This day I'm sure is always bitter sweet for Ryan since he is unable to spend time honoring his dad, but we know he is always looking down on us from Heaven!

Father's Day weekend was relaxing yet busy if that makes any sense. We had the mornings and early afternoon to relax, take our time and have a nice cup of coffee but the evenings were busy. Saturday Ryan's brother Jason, Kris, Seth and Kasey where in town so we got together for the kids to play, have dinner and the adults to catch up. The day was warm and beautiful so the kids had a blast in the sprinkler and pool. Sunday we headed out to my sisters house to celebrate with my family and spend time with my Dad and Grandpa. Once again the weather was beautiful so we brought along the pool and squirt guns....the kids had a blast trying to get Uncle Bryan but I will say it was a little unfair because he had the hose :) I loved hearing their squeals of delight....good practice for Uncle Bryan since he has his own little one on the way and next year this time he'll be honored on Father's Day.

As usual, I was unable to get a picture with Ryan and both the kids....Conner was just not cooperating :)

Daddy and Morgan

My dad and his girls....Me, Jessica, Dad and Jennifer

Sneaking up on Uncle Bryan :)

Morgan was not having anything to do with the water fight....she stayed as far away as possible.

Conner multi-tasking...Popsicle in one hand, squirt gun in the other...smart boy :)

Conner shielding himself with Auntie Jesse....he was took cute!

Funny...had to share

I thought this was so funny so I had to share....Conner has been a bit of a daddy's boy lately and not really wanting to cuddle with mommy much :( Anyway, today while Morgan was napping we were laying on the couch reading books

Me: want to come cuddle with mommy

Conner: no only with daddy

Me: only daddy huh, why not with mommy

Conner: because I go uckie way too much

Me: (laughing)

I guess that's a good reason not to cuddle with mommy in a toddlers eyes :) although shortly after that he inched his way into my arms a little more during each book.

My Sister's Keeper

I saw this movie was coming out and I've always wanted to read the book so I thought I should read it before I see the movie. First I will say it is a very good book and recommend it but be ready to CRY!!! It definitely reminds you that everything can change in a split second and your wonderful life as you know it can be turned up side down. I've always felt that when I feel like life is too good sometimes that at any minute I'll be blindsided...it can't always be great!

Anyway, after reading the book I wanted to watch the movie even more so my sis and I headed out one night after the kids where in bed for a late movie. The movie was good and showed a lot more of the details of the sickness than I thought but was very disappointment that the ending was NOT the same as the books. I of course am not going to give it away but if you have read the book and watch the movie you will know exactly what I mean. So my question is.....WHY on earth would they change the ending????

What was I thinking...

going to the opening day of the farm exhibit at the Children's Museum???

I had gotten a few emails announcing the new exhibit and since I and neither of my kids were big fans of the blue man group stuff they have had up the past few months I was looking forward to something new and something that sounded like the kids would like. I think they hyped it up way more than they put out! They said they would have face painting, petting zoo, snacks and prizes but the only thing I saw was the face painting. Not one real animal in sight!!! I believe they had a snack room way up top but we never made it there because the place was a mad house.....what was I thinking?
Conner wasn't a big fan of the face painting but I thought he might get one on his hand...nope, wanted nothing to do with it, he only wanted to go grocery shopping for what was on sale (yep, I have him trained) so we spent most of our day in the food area but did finally make it to the barn, which was actually pretty cute. Morgan did get a cute little flower on her cheek but wasn't so sure about the guy painting it :) All in all it wasn't a bad day, just a busy place with two kids which isn't at all relaxing :)
WOW, what are you doing dude??

Finished product....other than the "what is going on look" she was a troop and so cute!

We came with Michael but since it was sooo busy, we really didn't get to see each other much...that is usually how it goes at the museum unless it is dead. Here is my only pic of the boys together. Most the time there minds were going in opposite ways and us mommy's just follow them around :)
Once again she thinks she is three like her brother and climbs everything....she really is a very strong little girl!

Conner serving up some lunch for his little sis.

Morgan...trying to be anything but her age...she seriously was actually doing this when I would pick her up to try.
