1 year stats

Morgan is ecstatic to have her seat turned around....she falls just under 20 pounds but her doctor said a few ounces won't hurt.....and she is loving the view!

Morgan walked into her appointment a few weeks ago and stopped short right at the door to the exam room....I think she sensed she might not want to go in there. I remember that after this appointment with Conner he knew what would happen at the doctors. She did OK, but didn't really like being examined by the doc.

Her stats are 30 inches tall (75%), 19 lbs 9 oz (30%) and a 60% head circumference. We got the OK to stop formula (yeah) and start Vitamin D Milk, no eggs until 2 or nuts until 3 but other than that she's wonderful. She will be tested for allergies at 1 1/2 but even if she is negative we have to stay away from certain foods just in case. What a miracle she is!!

Conner's 1 year stats were 33 inches, 24lbs 8oz....almost 5 pounds more and let me tell you that makes so much of a difference. I think she will be an average size girl if her stats continue like this...although I think she is going through a growth spurt because she is eating soooooooo much and all the time!!

Hope everyone is having a great week, I'll post pics from the Haartman Birthday later this week.

This means WAR

Well, we have a mouse in the garage....and at first I thought he's not bothering me then I won't bother him besides it's not like he's in the house.

Well, he changed that when I came home last week to find my stroller. He had crawled into the stroller and eaten any cheerios/snacks still left inside from Morgan and apparently couldn't get back out and chewed a golf ball size hole into the seat to get out. This put him into the bag underneath where he then chewed his way out of that. This means WAR!!!

Since it was so beautiful out this past weekend we were outside enjoying the weather all weekend. Ryan's big job was to gut the garage and find this mouse!!!! Mission completed...no more mouse :) Now the garage looks clean and organized, the cars are all washed and vacuumed, the Christmas lights are down and I couldn't be happier. Now on to the inside..hehe

Note to any other mouse that comes into my garage....don't mess with my stuff!

Here are a few pics of our glorious and much needed time outside this past weekend.
Conner loves washing the cars with daddy!

We let Conner help drive the car out and back into the garage with us, he loved it and it kept him out of the way....I'm always afraid of running him over or something.

My nice clean garage

The stroller that I hope I am able to patch back up....rotten mouse!

Quarantine was.....

Unsuccessful!!! Yep, our attempt at keeping the flu to just Conner has failed....not only does Morgan have it now but Ryan is starting to feel yucking. So please, keep us in your prayers for health, strength, sleep, and sanity.

Wow....What a Weekend!!!!

Coming off a rough week with Morgan and I having a cold (we are still not back to 100%) I was looking forward to the weekend with Daddy home and celebrating Morgan's First Birthday....well if anything could go wrong, it pretty much did :)

With the nice weather we have had for the past few days (something that was much needed and much appreciated) we were craving brats and burgers for the party. Ryan got the grill out and running Friday night to make sure everything was up and working since we hadn't used it in a while. Everything seemed to be good, so off to Meijer Ryan went to get the grub.

Well, it's party time and Ryan started up the grill as everyone arrived. BROKEN!!! Now what? While my dad looked at the grill to see what he could do, Ryan headed to Meijer for the second time that day to get some lunch meat as a substitute...Well, it's lunch time, every ones hungry so I started frying burgers and hot dogs on the stove...a little messy but it worked and when Ryan got back we had lots of options for lunch :)

Two pictures into the party....My camera brakes!!!! Thank goodness for my relatives that were taking pictures to share or I would have only two pictures of her party, but truthfully I hate relying on others for pictures :( So here I am, miss camera addict with NO camera (I've already missed out on a few good ones today)....Ryan was busy filming the party on our camcorder...only to have the battery die right during Happy Birthday and cake eating...yep, we can't win. Well, we are in the mark for a new camera so if anyone has good suggestions, please pass them on.

The rest of the party went well and really I'm not complaining, she really had a great party and got lots of wonderful gifts but my weekend is not over yet. Ryan and I were beat after that so when the kids went down early we did also...thank goodness because come 11:30pm we were woken up to Conner puking...yep, that would be his 3rd flu this winter....seriously poor guy!!! Thank goodness Ryan doesn't have a queasy stomach like me cause this wasn't pretty, and I was thankful I could not breath completely out of my nose yet.. needless to say not much sleep here last night and lots of laundry!!

So, today we stayed home from church with Ryan and Conner quarantined in the basement since Morgan and I still have colds. I don't think I could handle the whole family coming down with the flu too like last time. UGH! Conner seems to be feeling a bit better and has kept food down all day so hopefully this week is better than the last few days.

Well, that's the update on the Haartman's.....what a weekend! I'll post pictures this week but right now I'm beat and yep I'm going to bed!!! Here are two from my wonderful sis.

Getting Creative

When I'm sick which seems like a lot this winter (we are counting 1 flu and 3 colds for me...that's not counting what the kids have had) I just wish I could call in sick!!

Well since mom was on very low energy this week, we got a little creative.

Our friends (Jason and Kim Crump, Kreg and Stacey Sills, Kevin and Danielle Sills, and Andy and Holly Williams) all chip in for a gift for the all our kids first birthday's. They got Morgan a water table which couldn't have come at a better time :) Thanks gang!!

Who needs good weather to play in the water :) Conner seems to like it better than Morgan but that's because I wouldn't let her splash in it like she wanted...so sorry no pics of her since I was standing by with a towel :)

Handsome Man

Here are a few pictures of my handsome man before Church last weekend...he is such a big boy now and loves going to Children and Worship.

My Birthday Girl!!

I CAN'T believe she is ONE!!! (Actual b-day 3-3-08)

Although Morgan and I have been sick all week I was able to wipe away the snot for a few minutes and get a few pics of my birthday girl....thankfully today we are feeling better and were able to get outside and enjoy this WONDERFUL weather we had.....about time!!!

She also enjoyed some ice cream after supper tonight....and she loved it!

Disney on ice

Last week Conner and I went to see the Disney on Ice show downtown with Auntie Jesse and Grandma Wittenbach. I wasn't sure if Conner would like it but since we got buy one get one free tickets, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. I didn't need to worry, he sat glued to the ice for the two hour show....mesmerized! I thought the show was great but truthfully it could have been shorter. I had given him a nap that day since it was a 7pm show but still about half way through Conner was beat and spent the second half of the show on my lap...no complaints from mommy...I love cuddle time.

We had left Morgan home with Daddy since it was such a late show, she was in bed before it even started and Daddy was going to enjoy some much needed relaxing time with a movie....unfortunately when we got home we found out we lost our power at 7pm and it didn't come back on until about 10 minutes before we got home :( By the time we got Conner in bed it was almost 10:30p so it wasn't too surprising he slept in until 9:45 the next morning.

Her are a few pics from the show, I kept trying to get his reactions on camera....they were priceless!!

My King!

Waiting for the show to start.

Auntie Jesse
Excited about something :)
We really didn't need binoculars, we were actually pretty close but I thought they would be fun to bring...guess I was right.
Amazed!
Like I said.....PRICELESS!!!
Cuddling

Nemo....his favorite part!
Finally fireworks!!

Can we say TIRED!!

Since Morgan has been sick this week she hasn't had much energy. Note to mom: when she goes to her room and pulls her paci's and blanket out of her crib and comes to you like this....I think it's nap time :)
