Zoo candids from our trip with Great Grandma

It was a beautiful August day and we got free entree so we picked up Great Grandma Duerr and headed out for a fun day at the zoo. The kids are never bored at the zoo, no matter how many times we go...gotta love it.

Conner's favorite is feeding the birds...they weren't too hungry that day so he had to hunt them down.
We got to touch starfish...which were very slimy. Conner thought it was cool, Morgan not so much which surprises me because she isn't afraid of any bug and will touch them...although that is seconds before she squashes them with her foot :)

Ice Cream Social Play Date

Last summer I started a park play date schedule for a bunch of mom friends of mine and it turned out to be pretty fun, so this year I did the same. I picked a few parks that were centrally located for the majority of us and every other Friday whoever could make it met to play and had a picnic lunch. Last Friday was our last scheduled play date to end the summer before most of the little ones go to school. My neighbor has one of those fun bouncy houses and has told me I'm more than welcome to borrow it and I just happened to run into her last week and asked....she was more than happy to help. The forecast didn't look too promising but all the rain held off until about a half hour after everyone left so it was a bit chilly but a success. The kids had a blast in the bounce house and only one manor head bump....we had pizza from Uccellos and ice cream to top off the afternoon. Thanks ladies for a fun day and for being great friends.

Even better when I went to return the bouncy house she said keep it for a while...how cool....We've had it out twice since :) although I will admit that it went up super easy but it was a bit challenging at first to fold it back up into the small little bag it comes in...I've got it mastered now...haha

Hudsonville Fair part 2...Barns and Tractors

Because the fair was so fun we didn't get a chance to go through the barns the first night and we felt so bad daddy wasn't with us we headed back for another night to visit the animals and ride a few more rides and met up with our friends the Crumps. It sprinkled the whole time we were there but we still had a lot of fun and the kids loved the tractors and animals!!!!!!!!!

These two pictures are of Conner when he was 18 months old at the Fair.

Hudsonville Fair part 1....Rides, Rides, and more Rides

My little sister spent the night last week so we headed to the fair for some fun Wednesday night. I bought Conner a wristband to ride unlimited rides and was praying he liked them or I was going to be out $20.....nothing to worry about, he LOVED them! I even rode a few rides myself, but man that place is bringing in the dough...not a cheap night, I can't imagine taking a large family and this year Morgan wasn't even big enough to ride any rides....next year should be fun! We got there around 4pm and headed out about 8pm when we realized it was so late, we didn't even get to see any of the animals so we went back Thursday night and meet up with some friends. (that post will be coming soon)

Believe it or not I am on this ride....my little sister needed someone to go with and I was nominated. I remember loving these when I was a kid but this time they just make me sick....man I'm getting OLD!

At the end of the night....Morgan relaxing with her blanket...she was my perfect little angel that night.

Up Up and Away!

This was Conner's favorite ride....his first time on it he had some very funny expressions I was laughing so hard I was crying....it was priceless!!

Let me in!!! Poor little Morgan was too short to ride the ride so she had to watch from the sidelines as her big brother had the fun....as least she waved as he went by and yelled choo choo!
