WOW!!
Love this pic from the Children's Museum the other day...I've been meaning to do bubbles with Morgan lately but they are all frozen in the garage and I keep forgetting to bring them in. She was pretty amazed at the big bubbles at the Museum :)

My first visit....
to the Dentist!!!
Knowing that Conner had this appointment coming up I started bringing home books from the library explaining the dentist. I found a very good Dora one that I think really helped prepare him and he did AWESOME!!
What a big boy, he hopped right up in that chair and listened to everything she had to say.....I might add that she was awesome too and explained everything to him and would even show him the instrument and how it would feel on his finger. Of course I was one of THOSE mom's that brought her camera and was snapping away the whole time...Conner's use to that so it didn't bother him :)
Unfortunately, I deserve the WORST MOM AWARD because we have to go back for a filling in a few weeks, poor buddy!! I knew deep down he would, I apparently have given him my horrible teeth. I really thought I was doing a good job brushing twice a day, flossing occasionally, not allowing him to drink pop, chocolate milk, or juice (if any it's a splash in a glass of water once in a great while)...thank goodness these are his baby teeth and I have a second chance at his adult teeth. I just hope this filling will not traumatize him from going to the dentist again since this first cleaning was such a good experience.
Here are a few pics of my BIG BOY!!!

The fun glasses were to keep the light out of his eyes.

My first.....
Piggies!!

I had nursery this past weekend and a little girl had these cute little piggy tails in her hair....her hair was not much longer than Morgan's so I thought I would try it out. Her hair is getting so long it's always in her eyes or is very wild so barrettes and hair ties are becoming a norm over her.....so much different than having a boy that you hardly have to even brush :)
Anyway, here are a few cute pics of my little pumpkin with her first piggy tails :)

11 months old
I am so behind on this post but here it is anyway. Our little miss Morgan is a very busy girl these days and is learning new things everyday. Some of her favorite things to do are chase her brother up and down the hall (she was actually playing marching band with Conner and Grandma H last weekend...way too cute), taking out all puzzle pieces and walking around the house leaving them everywhere she goes, walking all around the house, finding her paci blanket and blanket in her crib when she is tired, taking out the dvd's from the tv cabinet, playing hide and seek with Conner, playing in her room and her favorite is playing peek a boo with her brother under the table.News things she is doing:
- Dancing (every time she hears music she starts a dancing)...it truly is so cute, it's not the normal bop up and down anymore she actually starts doing the twist almost :)
- Clapping - loves if your happy and you know it clap your hands
- Hugging - the first time she did to me I wanted to cry, it is so precious
- Kissing -usually with her tongue out...we are working on that one
- Puts the lids on Tupperware
- Standing up in the middle of the room
- The bathroom is now off limits to her since she likes doing things she knows she should not do and I am so grossed out by the toilet. (thankfully she hasn't learned to lift the seat)
- Anything to do with balls, stacking blocks, or music and books
I'm sure there are more and more to come but that's all I've got right now....she is such a precious gift to our family and we are so very blessed to have her....I still can't believe that she is going to be one in less than a month...sniffle sniffle
The perfect excuse to....
make pasta necklaces.
This has been something I've had on my list of crafts to do but thought Conner would enjoy it more with a friend :) Last week I watched my girlfriends little girl so I thought....how perfect, we could make valentine necklaces.

Conner and Kendal with their necklaces....how cute!
Using a spoon :)
Morgan has become a very independent eater :) She loves to use her own spoon and pretty much refuses to be feed any more baby food from a jar....so all table food for this little girl and she is loving it!!! Thankfully yogurt is one of her favorites and it sticks to the spoon. Normally she actually does a good job and makes very little mess for an 11 month old but this night she seemed to be extra messy so I had to take a pic. What a cutie :)

3 year check up
Conner had his 3 year check up yesterday and of course he was off the charts in height!!!
41 inches tall (100%) and 38 1/2 lbs (90%)
He passed all the other tests with flying colors, even the hearing test so it must be selective hearing that he has...hehehehe :)

New Found Courage
Morgan has been taking around 3-6 steps for the past week or two and always seemed to stop after that, go down and then proceed to crawl fast (I think she knew she could get there faster by crawling). Not to mention she would get so excited that she would end up falling....and yet every time she took a spill, it followed with a smile and giggle.
In the past two days she has found her courage and has taken off. She went from 3-6 steps to walking across the whole living room and even taking off from the couch or me. Watch out, here is comes!!!
Conner has also been learning new things lately. When we go to the library I always let him pick out new books and a new dvd to take home....lately he has been picking from the educational dvd section which has made me very happy. One that he recently picked was Signing time with Alex and Leah and he LOVES it! It's basically sign language and the one he picked out was a zoo train that took you around the zoo to all the animals and showed you how to sign them along with a song. Morgan has also been a huge fan and bops to the music as well. The other night at dinner Ryan and I were signing the animals and Conner knew almost every one....what a smarty!!!

My Special Day.....Bowling
Conner and his buddy Noah turn 3 ten days apart, so my girlfriend Kari and I decided to have a little kids party for the boys. We wanted to keep it small and focus on their special day, they were able to invite one kid each. It worked out perfect that Martin Luther King Jr. Day (a bank holiday) was the day before Conner's b-day so Ryan and the other daddy's had the day off. I had my step-mom (my go to gal for a daytime babysitter) watch Morgan for the afternoon and Conner was so excited we were leaving Morgan home...brothers :)
We took them bowling for the first time and they LOVED IT!!! All the kids had a blast, bowled a full game, ate pizza and cupcakes and even had fun chasing each other up and down an empty hallway using fake keys to open the lockers :) Got to love kids imaginations.
A few highlights of my day:
- I over heard Noah telling Conner they weren't babies, that they were big boys now :)
- Conner got a strike and was the top scorer, although the other three were right behind him. Conner 89, Noah 80, Michael 76, Kennidee 74.
- Kennidee escaping to the bathroom only to return in only her shirt and pull up :)
- A wonderful day spent with family and great friends!
We weren't sure if the kids would have fun and we had nothing to worry about....they took to the game with ease and really enjoyed pushing the ball down to the pins and could hardly wait for their turn next (thankfully we had two lanes for four kids :)....although the ball return was a major highlight and sometimes I think they enjoyed that more than the actual bowling :) Conner has been talking about it non-stop and wants to go back soon. His first big boy party was a success!!!!

My Big Boy Party!!
It is so hard to believe my little man in now 3!! He truly is a Wonderful Blessing sent from above and has brought us such joy over the years....here is to many more!!!
Each year I make a cake....this year Conner was old enough to want to pick it out, thankfully he didn't pick too hard of one. I'm good at baking but not always so hot at decorating...I always picture it better than it turns out :) at least Conner likes it and that's all that counts, right??
Here are a few pic from our family party.

Daddy, Conner and Mommy with the firetruck cake...I tried to get him to wear a fireman's hat but he was having nothing to do with it :)

Blowing out the candles!!!
Enjoying the final product :)
Morgan took over this present :)

Morgan and Auntie Jesse
Build a Dino
Grandma Wittenbach (my step-mom) took Conner to Build a Bear Workshop for his Birthday. He was so cute picking out the dinosaur but once it came to making it he just stood back and watching....he wanted nothing to do with that machine :) She was able to get him to do the special little thing with the heart to put inside but other than that he kept his distance. He did enjoy giving it a bath afterwards.

Like Brother, Like Sister
I thought this was so adorable....so of course I had to get a quick pic. This is Morgan and Conner last night after their bath. We turned on a quick video while getting them ready for bed and they were mesmerized!

This is Morgan at 10 months....apparently another fan of the newspaper :)

This is Conner around 10/11 months....he loved destroying the newspaper every Sunday :)

Almost 3
My little man is going to be 3 in less than 2 weeks!! I can't believe it!!!
One of the things on my list to do is to update my photos in the house and get wallets to family and friends of both Conner and Morgan (I've been taking pictures but not sharing the love). Yesterday was so nice and sunny we decided to take Conner's 3 year pics, while Morgan was napping I even took a few outside (only a few before we got cold and heading inside but at least one turned out). I attempted Morgan's 10 month as well but she was having none of it so I'll have to try them later this week.
Here are some cute ones of my little man, what a big boy!!!!

My first 3 steps!!!!
Yipee...I can do it! Yes, that's right Morgan has taken her first 3 steps and is getting better at it each day. She turned 10 months this past weekend and is acting more like she thinks she 12 months..hehe
It was nice to finally get back to a regular schedule this week, with all those midweek vacation days I was all messed up on what day it actually was :)
Morgan seems to be learning something new every day, she is such an active little girl and is always on the move and wanting to do what her big brother is doing. She loves to dance and bop to the music and almost always has a huge smile on her face. Lately we have been seeing if she would walk back in forth to Ryan and I, she loves to stand up all by herself and gets so excited when she knows she is doing it...Monday night she actually took her first two almost three steps to each of us...I was so excited and could tell she was too by the HUGE smile on her face...and it's just the beginning...oh no! :) The past few nights and days she has taken a few more...today at the library she actually took four all by herself, she must have saw something she wanted cause off she went. I can already she Conner and Morgan chasing each other down the hall :)
Some new tricks and old tricks:
Gives hi-five
Waves hi and goodbye (a new trick and a favorite)
Points out your nose and mouth when asked
Walks with one hand and any walking toy
Stands on her own and has actually started squatting to pick up toys and returning to standing position.
Loves to rock in her rocking chair
Becoming a climbing or at least trying to climb on everything!!
Taking her first few steps
I know I say this every time but man they grow up too fast!!!
Her are a few pics of my BIG girl! Her 10 month pictures will be coming soon, she's a mover so they might be a bit hard this time.
