Christmas Celebrations

We had a fun filled Christmas this year. Conner was old enough to really enjoy it and Morgan enjoyed the paper more than the presents :)

We started our celebrating the Saturday before Christmas. With all the snow we were getting we were lucky that Saturday was clear enough for a quick day trip to Indiana to celebrate with the Haartman's. It was originally a weekend trip but due to the crazy weather we had to change plans at the last minutes. We got on the road right after breakfast and returned home around 9pm, thankfully we made it home right before another huge snow storm Sunday morning!!! As always the cousins had a blast together and the adults enjoyed the day also. This was Morgan's first experience with unwrapping presents so she wasn't too into it but Conner had it down pat :)

On our way home that night our check engine light came on :( Sunday morning I woke up with a bad head cold that lasted all through the week, thankfully it became bearable on Christmas Eve so I was able to enjoy all the get-togethers...so needless to say the first of the week was a bit hectic with me being sick yet again (hoping the kids wouldn't get it too), Ryan and I carting the car back and forth to get fixed during the horrible weather..only to get it home and now something still wasn't right, returning Christmas Eve morning for them to tighten the bolts they forgot :(.

Thankfully come Wednesday the weather let up once again so we were able to go celebrate Christmas with my dad's side of the family. We had an early dinner with the whole Wittenbach family and then stopped off at my dad's to open presents there too. By now Morgan had the unwrapping down too and actually wanted to eat the paper rather than play with her toys :)

Christmas Morning we woke up with a few stocking stuffers for the kids and a Happy Birthday song to Jesus. Conner got a micro phone for a gift so he lead the signing...it was way too cute! Later that day my Mom, Step dad and sister came over for lunch and presents. Needless to say the kids were very spoiled but we are so thankfully to have such loving families and were very happy to be able to spend time with each one. We are so Blessed!!

The Sunday after Christmas we got together with our group of friends and their kids. This has been a tradition for the past 5 years....the group has definitely grown over the years from 10 to 18 in the past 3 years, we are all so blessed to have such wonderful kids and they have so much fun playing together. Thanks for another year of great fun, great company and great food gang!!!
