A few more...

I loved the way the angel wing pictures turned out so I tried to take a few more the next day. Here are a few cute ones but I think my favorite is still the first one I took. (attached to previous post)

Half way there.... ALREADY!!!

I can't believe my baby is 6 months old!!! Half way to 1 year...AH!!! I know I say that every month but really where did the last month go? Monday I looked at the calendar to see what was going on for the week and I really was in total shock that it marked her 6 month date (I thought it was more like 5 1/2). So of course I got out the camera and started my monthly photo shoot. She's really starting to get the hang of this thing now and is giving me some really big smiles, but man is she busy already!

In the life of Morgan:
  • She had her first tooth come in and not just one but two!!! I don't think number 3 and 4 are too far behind. She has been a trooper though and really has handled the pain very well. Her sleep is interrupted slightly but really she is happy as can be but everything in reach and I mean everything is in her mouth with lots of drool.
  • She is sitting without support!
  • Her hand/eye coordination is very good, she is going to be very detail oriented. She will just sit and examine things so closely and then play with it for ever. Especially white tags on toys or blankets. I just wonder what is going through that precious head of hers, you can tell her mind is just a working.
  • Gives the biggest smile whenever she sees you, especially waking up from sleep. It just melts your heart.
  • Loves to be tickled, playing peek a boo, and being sung too.
  • Sucks and chews on her toes all the time.
  • Seems to dislike rice cereal but is liking regular baby food, loves that bottle and will self feed herself with minimal help.
  • Has the nickname of Pumpkin or Pumpkin Pie with everyone in the house, even Conner....one afternoon he went to her crib with me to get her up from her nap and he said Hi pumpkin pie, did you have a good nap?
  • I also call her Morgie sometimes.

Here are a few of my favorite pics in black in white.....I love this look, it makes them seem so classical I think and it hides some of the imperfections since of course I'm not a professional :) Following the black in white are the same pics in color and last but not least some of my favorite candids catching her in action and her true form. Of course once again I can't pick my favorite since she is just so dang cute so you get to look at them all. Hope you enjoy!

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo

Last night we went to the Hudsonville Fair and Conner got to do something he has probably always dreamed of.......ride a choo choo train!

Of course he loved going through all the animal barns especially the goats, rabbits and chickens....he's still not too keen on the larger animals like the horse, cow and pigs. Morgan was a perfect little angel as always just relaxing in her stroller giggling, talking and chewing on her toes :)

After walking around a bit Conner climbed on all the tractors until something much more interested caught his eye....the choo choo train. We just watched it for a while and then we asked Conner if he wanted to ride it and his answer was a big YES! So off I went for some tickets thinking I would have to ride it with him. Once in line I realized that there was a height requirement and I would not be allowed on but Conner didn't care one bit....he marched right on and didn't want to get off. Thankfully I had an extra ticket that I thought I would need so he got to ride it again. He was so patient waiting in line for his turn....I was so proud of him! Boy was he in his glory, of course the slushy afterwards was wonderful too :)

What a fun night!!! I love seeing the excitement in his eyes, it makes me so happy!

Big boy on the train

Slushy, Conner's favorite!
Morgan wanted some too :)
The baby goats were soooooooo cute!

We're Back!!!

Well, we are back from a very fun vacation but are so very happy to be in our own beds!!!! Surprisingly both kids slept pretty well at night and took decent naps, but went to bed late and got up early so this week will be nice to catch up on some sleep. They both were so tired when we got back they took 2 1/2- 3 hour naps on Saturday, which allowed daddy and mommy to get some much needed sleep themselves :)

Conner and Morgan had some great quality time with Grandma H and there cousins. The boys had lots of fun finding frogs in the sand, throwing rocks in the water from the dock, reading books with Grandma H, swimming and making waves with Ryan, Uncle Jason and Uncle Kevin, watching videos together and just playing with trucks and toys.

Morgan of course loved the attention she got from Grandma H and everyone else almost 24-7, she now starts to yell very loudly when you start to walk out of her view :) Can we say spoiled!

Ryan and I enjoyed spending time with the adults. Almost every day we enjoyed a little downtime while the kids were sleeping to enjoy the sun and a cocktail and sometimes a nap ourselves. Grandma H also helped out a ton!!! Like always we had some great food and desserts so I'm sure I put on a few pounds :(

In the past we always took one day to go out to dinner so we tried that again this year.....It's always a little bit of a challenge taking 7 adults and 5 kids under 3 out to dinner anyway but I think after this year we will stick to eating at the cottage. We had a bit of a issue finding the restaurant and since the kids were so hungry we stopped for directions and then just decided to eat at this Irish Pub on the corner instead. After getting us all seating with highchairs and booster seats and drinks ordered I asked my now famous question, do you use peanuts in your cooking? Come to find out they use peanut oil in all their fryers and the menu was all fried food! AH!!! (a visit to the ER on our vacation would not have been ideal!!!) Unfortunately that is a risk we can not take, not to mention Conner not getting french fries would have not gone over well! So we packed up and found the original peanut free restaurant. Got seated, drinks and food ordered and Seth spills chocolate milk all over himself. Since his clothes were soaked Kris took off his shirt but his shorts looked like he had an accident. Uncle Jason got Braedan so wild up he wasn't eating and Kevin had to take him outside to play since he was so noisy so Kevin didn't even get to eat. I'm sure we were quite the show for the other diners. Needless to say it was more stress than needed on vacation :)

All and all we had a great vacation and am already looking forward to next year!

Happy Anniversary Honey!

Your such a wonderful Husband and Father,
I couldn't ask for anything more.

First Tooth!!

So many new things for Morgan this month. She is now sitting with no support and yesterday a sharp little white tooth popped through. It's the beginning of teething :)

Well, you won't hear from me for a little while. We are off to our annual Haartman Summer vacation on Saturday. Our first as a family of four, which means lots to pack! :) I feel like I'm packing up our entire house for a weeks vacation, but we are very excited and can't wait to see everyone! I'll have lots of pictures when we return.

P.S. Good luck Kim with the baby, can't wait to see the newest Crump when we return :)

First Boat Ride!

For the past two summers Conner has refused to wear a life jacket. This year has been the first year he has actually put it on and kept it on!

Last Sunday we were at my Aunt and Uncles house for a birthday party and they took Conner and Ryan for a boat ride. I didn't know for sure if Conner would want to go but sure enough he did and he wore his life jacket with no fuss. They even went around the lake twice and he loved it!!! What a big boy, now Grandpa can't wait to take him fishing :)

So these are called FEET!

Lots of new things last week for Morgan.

First: She has now found her feet and loves to put them in her mouth....she was actually sucking on her toes yesterday while I was changing her diaper. Can't believe how flexible babies can be!!

Second: She is self feeding herself. She still needs a little help holding the bottle but she loves to hold it herself and can hold it up for a few minutes at a time.

My Little Man....2 1/2 years old!!!

My Little Man.....what a ham-bone!

Whenever I get out the camera and set up for one of Morgan's little photo shoots each month, Conner wants to get right in there too. Most the time if I want any of just her, I have to take them while he's napping :) On the good side, it's been kind of nice that I have been able to keep up on some photos of Conner too. Sometimes I get so wrapped up on making sure to take as many pictures of Morgan as I did Conner that I don't want to forget to take pictures of my little man too. I know these pictures will bring back such good memories a few years down the road. Although he is constantly on the move, he seems to like his picture taken. Lately after I take a picture, he says take one more (I must say that a lot) and then wants to see it on the camera screen...maybe I have a photographer on my hands :)

Well, here are a few pics from Conner's latest photo shoot...he's now 30 months old and before I know it 5 months will have past and we will be celebrating his 3 year birthday. I'll cherish these pictures later when I look back and wonder were the time went and try to imagine when he was this little. I don't know how many people have told me it goes so fast.....they sure weren't kidding.

The first two are my favorite but the rest are to show you what a little ham-bone I have and his many faces. I think I need a camera that takes 5 quick pictures with one press of the button since he moves so quickly and by the time the picture is taken I've lost my shot!

5 Months Old!!!

Where does the time go?

It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our precious little girl home....fast forward I guess and she is now 5 months old! I can't believe how fast they are both growing up but it seems like she is growing much faster than Conner did. I think that's because we have a busy 2 1/2 year old running around and when Conner was a baby he was our sole focus.

Here are a few of her 5 month pictures I took this week. She is such a curious girl these days that most of them I wasn't able to get a smile out of her because she was much more interested in the flower (shhh I picked them from my neighbors yard), her feet or her dress rather than Mommy but I thought they were very cute and priceless.

***Of course I can't pick out my favorite...I like the first three the best but all for different reasons so I added a poll on the left side of this screen for you to tell me your vote.

Here are a few things about Morgan:

  • Morgan loves playing with her daddy, he almost always gets giggles and squeals out of her.
  • Always has an eye on her big brother and will fuss if he or mommy are out of view.
  • Sucks her thumb but prefers the pacifier.
  • Rolls from back to tummy.
  • Started pushing with her arms while on tummy and scooted across the room back wards.
  • Loves to laugh, squeal and blow bubbles.
  • Everything goes in the mouth that she can get her hands on.
  • Found her feet the other day.
  • Loves to read books along with big brother.
  • Loves playing airplane.
  • Loves wheels on the bus.
  • You are my sunshine calms her down.

BUBBLES!!!

This was just too cute so I had to get a few pics!

Morgan has been babbling away lately, typical girl I know :) Normally she opens her mouth wide and makes a very loud squeal but lately she's learned a new thing....to stick her tongue out and blow bubbles. She does this for so long the bubbles start to collect at the corners of her mouth.
We love her little noises and squeals and cherish every moment we have with our precious little girl!
